Supplementing An Tho wind power project into National PDP

The Prime Minister has agreed to supplement An Tho wind power project (phase I) with a capacity of 200 MW into Adjusted National Power Development Planning (PDP+). This is a largest wind power project in Vietnam so far.
The project is developed in An Tho commune, An Hiep district, Phu Yen province by the domestic investor in consortium with Sembcorp (Singapore) with a total investment level of 6000 VND billion.
The project is expected to be put into operation in 2021 and will be connected with the National Power System by 220kV grid. The grid items for connection are in accordance with the ones in proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).
The Prime Minister assigned MOIT to be comprehensively responsive for the appropriate contents, especially for the issues of: the need to supplement the project into PDP, project capacity, no use of natural forest land, project connection for ensuring reliable and stable operation, project feasibility… and suitability with current regulations of the laws.
